7/9/2018

PictureWVTV's Brent Bloem is leaving for his hometown in Michigan, after seven years of service with IPSD 204.
Waubonsie Valley and Metea Valley media teacher Brent Bloem resigned last week for the opportunity to move he and his family back to their hometown in Michigan. Bloem left Jenison, Michigan, in 2006 to teach in Colorado for five years, before moving to Aurora to work for IPSD 204.

Bloem had a niche for film making and visual storytelling. His students learned advanced skills in video color correction, motion graphics and lighting.

"Brent came along at a good time, when our program was growing," said Waubonsie Valley media teacher Brian Wiencek. "He added a lot to the film portion of our curriculum. He's definitely left his mark on WVTV, and the students and staff will miss him."

Bloem produced Metea Valley's news show, The Mane, as well as teaching English at Waubonsie.
